Description: Often called the “Land of red soil”, Birbhum is one of the most unique districts in West Bengal,India. The climate here is dry and extreme,  the  soil is red and hard, the people are simple and colourful.  Birbhum is well known for its rich culture, fairs and festivals.This photograph was taken at a remote village Malpara where the village children shares a merry moment.
