Description: ‘Chhath Puja’ is a very joyous and colorful festival of the Hindu religion in India. This Puja is dedicated to the Sun God. People dressed up in their best attires observe the ritual to thank the Sun for their wellness and also for fulfilling particular wishes. Folk songs are sung both at home and on the riverbanks. Millions of pilgrims take dip in the holy water of river Ganges. In this picture, pilgrims are waiting for the sunrise. This photograph is takenat the ‘Rabindra Sarovar’ (a lake) in Kolkata.

Definitely, the pilgrims are waiting for the first ray of light to dawn upon them; except for the grains that has taken a noticeable area in the picture. I would request Mr. Dhar to visit a site http://www.photoburst.net and observe the clarity of the pictures.
The alternative combination of dense blue and vermilion is adding an extra ‘texture’ to the photography.
It’s a good photography. Infact- better.
