Thank you for your time today. I do not have a video camera, but I know that my idea would win. Briefly, I have a spainl cord problem that has shown the need for a metal fusion in my neck, and as I write this they are planning to place a new rod in my lower back for another fusion. As well I have a broken spine in several places that did not heal right. My idea is to write a book on baseball. I loved English in school and did great at it, but never thought I could right a book. It is on baseball and how moms helped players when they were boys learn not just the game but about the morals it takes to play the game, to speak with men who made the majors, and how their moms drove them to practice, worked 2 jobs so they could get a glove so they would not stand out as poor, with NO dad around that is a moral teaching that stuck with him and made him the man he is today. 20 players have different stories about their moms that we should hear, no, we have to hear ’cause the game is down on one knee with all the problems we see now, not in the sports part of the news but lead stories now. Because with the teachings of moms when we were kids who taught us to catch and so on. Where are the morals NOW? With the players telling their stories, they go back to what made them love the game and so it helps them heal themselves and the game, with writing done by me so the moral thought that the player is making does not get lost. We make it a easy read like for bedtime stories so parents can read it to their kids, so it teaches the kids to play the game right, they learn that the real heroes are not their heroes on the field, but the one reading to them and they are hearing it right from the players. The book about players’ moms could be sold everywhere online as well. Also, [it could be sold] the one day baseball focuses on breast cancer with pink bases and bats. We could sell the book at ball parks, ’cause I would like 70% of the money raised to go to fight breast cancer, and the other book about dads to be sold the same way at ball parks the day baseball focuses on prostate cancer and we give 70% of the money made to fight prostate cancer. I lost my mom to cancer at 58. It is not about money, it is about moms and dads. My Dad ran up a beach for this country, for the world. He told Mr. Hitler, You go no further, not on my watch. They ran up the beach, him and his 2 buddies, when a mortar landed in the middle of the 3, my dad got blown forward, got a Purple Heart for metal in his back, but he turned around and grabbed his first buddy. He did not have a face anymore, so he went to the other buddy and there were only pieces of him left. I found this story out only because I was cleaning out some old boxes and asked him what this purple medal was. He told me that story and at the end of it, HE asked me NEVER to ask him about it again, which I kept for this country. I tell this story sir or ma’am only because I would like to dedicate this book as it would read To My Dad’s Two Lost Buddies, Living True . You have the general idea of the book that we could work on together. I would love if the President wrote the opening, maybe 4 pages worth, and not have an aid do it, after all he had a single mom and he turned out doing real good. Thank you all for your time, please remember I write okay, but it is just a hobby.Michael I.
